What began as a concept on a napkin became a fully engineered 6MW CDU system—designed, built, and delivered through close collaboration with our client and manufacturing partner. CHALLENGE
The demand for scalable liquid cooling in data centers is accelerating—fast. One forward-thinking customer challenged MCP to help deliver a high-capacity CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) solution on an aggressive timeline, while minimizing onsite disruptions and maintaining schedule integrity on a live, mission-critical site.
SOLUTION
To meet an aggressive project schedule and reduce the risk of on-site disruption, MCP implemented a hands-on, collaborative strategy from day one:
Early-stage Design Collaboration: MCP worked with TecFlo and the client to develop a fully custom 6MW CDU solution—starting from a rough sketch on a napkin and transforming it into an engineered, buildable system.
Integrated Planning Sessions: Hosting key stakeholders onsite during National Data Center Day allowed for live coordination of installation logistics, startup sequences, and commissioning timelines— resolving issues before they became roadblocks.
Ownership Mindset in Action: MCP acted as an extension of the client’s team, taking full accountability for schedule adherence, cross-functional communication, and ensuring that every detail was aligned across trades.
